Mr. Budano is currently the President and General Manager for the Programmable Power Products Division of Xantrex Technology, Inc., as of March 12, 2007. Prior to this, Mr. Budano was Elgar Electronic's President and Chief Executive Officer since July 2002. From 2000 to 2001, Mr. Budano served as Group President, Multi−Media Group, for Acterna Corporation, a $1.2 billion producer of communications test & measurement instruments and systems. In this role he was responsible for Cable Test Tools, Network Management Systems, LAN and Digital Broadcast divisions representing $175 million in revenues. From 1996 to 2000, Mr. Budano served as Senior Vice President, North American Operations, for Wavetek Wandel & Golterman, also a producer of communications test & measurement instruments and systems, which merged into Acterna in May 2000. His responsibilities included Cable Networks, LAN, Test Tools and Digital Broadcast divisions as well as WWG’s N. American Manufacturing operations. Revenues totaled $160 million. From 1994 to 1996, he served as Vice President and General Manager of the Communications Division of Wavetek, which merged with Wandel & Golterman in October 1998. During his tenure at Wavetek Wandel Golterman/Acterna, the company grew from $70 million to $1.2 billion and Mr. Budano was involved in several mergers & acquisitions, recapitalizations and substantial post merger integration activities. Prior to joining Wavetek, Mr. Budano worked as a management consultant for The Boston Consulting Group from 1991 to 1994. Prior to BCG, Mr. Budano held various engineering and engineering management positions at Motorola’s Land Mobile Products division from 1983 to 1989 where he received five patents and several innovation awards. Mr. Budano holds a BSME from Boston University and a Masters in Management, graduating with distinction from Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. Mr. Budano is also a board member of T-Systems International, Inc.
